Privacy Policy – BWW Viewer Plugin

BWW Viewer is an open-source plugin for Chrome and Firefox. Responsibility lies with the developer(s) of the plugin.

2. What Data Is Processed?

2.1 No Data Collection or Storage

The BWW Viewer plugin does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. In particular:

• ✗ No user data is transmitted to external servers
• ✗ No browsing history is stored
• ✗ No tracking or telemetry
• ✗ No cookies or identifiers

2.2 What the Plugin Does Locally

The plugin performs the following functions entirely locally on your device:

1. Navigation Monitoring: When you click a link to a .bww or .BWW file, the plugin detects this via the webNavigation API
2. Redirection: The plugin automatically redirects you to the built-in viewer page
3. Local Processing: The .bww file is parsed and rendered in your browser (no external processing)

3. Permissions – Why Are They Necessary?

4. External Communication

The plugin:

5. Your Rights

You can at any time:

• ✓ Uninstall the plugin
• ✓ View the source code (open-source)
• ✓ Contact the developer with questions

6. Security

The plugin:

• Uses only legitimate browser APIs
• Has no network access except for loading .bww files
• Does not persistently store any data
• Is cleared on every browser restart

7. Changes to This Policy

If the plugin is extended in the future (e.g., with sync features), this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.
